Q: What are you opinions on the MERCURY MILAN?
I’ve been looking at a 2006 Mercury Milan. I’m looking for my first car (technically 2nd since I’ve been using my mom’s 2009 Chrysler Sebring for over a year).
I just want to hear your thoughts on it. I don’t want to pick a bad car, you know.
What do you like about it?
What do you dislike about it?
Any problems?
Anything good to say?
Oh and spoiler or no spoiler? I might want to add one.
A: Better-looking than its Ford Fusion cousin, and similar reliability (a tad above average). I’d consider it a reasonable choice.
On a car in this class, a spoiler is pure eye candy: it won’t actually spoil. It won’t hurt anything, though.
Q: Headlight flashers that would work for a 2006 Mercury Milan?
Im looking for headlight flashers that would work for my 06 Milan. Im a firefighter and looking for an addition to my POV.
A: You’re going to have to find a strobe kit and install them into the headlight lenses. You might be able to find something from Code 3. They make a lot of the lights on emergency vehicles.
Q: Is there a Plug&Play HID kit for a 2009 Mercury Milan With a Good warranty?
Im looking for 2 Plug And Play HID kits for a 2009 Mercury Milan. I need a set for the headlights and fog lights. I also want ones with a warranty. Any suggestions would be appreciated. and links where to buy. or places in DFW to purchase. Thank YOU
A: Your car already has projector beams, which will light up the road in a more focused pattern and longer distance than a HID kit anyway. Even if you find an aftermarket HID that fits, and it has a warranty, good luck getting any customer service because all of the manufacturers are based out of China and they don’t care if you are satisfied after the sale.
Q: Looking for feedback regarding a 2007 or 2008 Mercury Milan?
I am looking for a used car and I saw a Milan yesterday and thought that it looks like the type of car that I would be interested in. I was curious to know if anyone had any reviews/information on the Milan, any information that is provided will be greatly appreciated.
A: have a look at http://www.reviewmirchi.com
Q: What is the song in the new Mercury Milan comercial?
Recent commercial, the song shouts go at one point.
A: the name of the song is “go” and the group is “tones on tail,” a very good group from the early 80’s. also very popular in goth clubs, hehe
Q: What’s the biggest size rims i could put on my 2007 Mercury Milan?
Im looking to put new rims on my car but cant find any one a website.
A: Anything less than 46″ just won’t cut it.
Q: How do i turn off the anti theft on a 2004 mercury milan?
can i just take the battery off for 10 minutes or will that make it worse?
can i just unplug the battery or will that just make it worse. it wont start because the anti theft is on
A: that usually will actually make the alarm sound instead of shutting off.
It should go off when you insert the key and turn it – or after about 5 minutes of not touching it.
Q: 2008 mercury milan its getting cold and i want to warm up my car with out me in it but it wont lock?
it will lock but then unlock. it wont stay locked. Now it doesn’t lock automatically when im driving. what did i do?
A: look in your owners manual for the personalized settings follow the instructions to setting up the vehicle as you want it set up. There may be a feature that unlocks the door when the car is in park and running so people don’t lock themselves out of the car, but the information is in the owners manual.
Q: What 2010 upscale sedan should I purchase: Mercury Milan Hybrid or Acura TSX?
Okay, so I’m down to two choices. Which of these 2 cars should I get and why? What are the pros and cons of each car in your opinion? Any input on hybrids would be greatly appreciated. I’ve heard that they don’t last very long, and are unreliable and expensive, and I plan to drive this car for at least 10 years.
A: Personally I would choose the Ford Fusion Hybrid (Milan sister).
It appeals to me more than the Mercury Milan and is essentially the same car.
I think that you heard wrong about the reliability and longevity though.
Fords Hybrid Escape has already proved to be very reliable and long lasting.
See the article about its usage as New York City and San Francisco cab drivers have used (and abused LOL) for over 4 years now. You have to admit that if a vehicle can withstand the 24/7 abuse of New York City cab drivers it would HAVE to be reliable and long-lived.

A fully loaded Fusion Hybrid will run about $33,000 …much less than the fully loaded version of the Acura …. and has features and more advanced Technology
such as
SYNC®
SmartGauge™ Cluster with EcoGuide
Voice-Activated Navigation System
SIRIUS® Satellite Radio
Sound by Sony®
BLIS™ with Cross Traffic Alert
Rear View Camera
Reverse Sensing System:
etc…
Q: Any word on where I can get a kit for a 2007 Mercury Milan?
I heard I can just use a Ford Fusion kit.
***Ground affects***
A: The Fusion kit will bolt up exactly.
Q: how can I find out if my 2006 mercury milan is front wheel drive or rear wheel drive?
I bought the vehicle used.
A: its a front wheel drive car….i believe the only mercury car that is not front wheel drive would be the mountaineer. Possibly the only other car that is not front wheel drive is mercury’s version of Fords Crown Victoria. If you want confirmation go get in your car and go to an open parking lot. Make sure you are not close to anything. Crank the wheel either all the way to the right or to the left and floor the gas. On a front wheel drive car when you do that and the tires start to spin the front end of the car will go what ever way you had the wheel turned but on a rear wheel drive car the back end of the car will kick out and start to come around on you. When you floor the gas you only have to do it a little bit to spin the tires you dont have to hold it.
Q: Is the Mercury Milan a good car?
Is the Mercury Milan safe?
A: When Ford bought Volvo back in 99-2000, they started to intregrate all the same safety features into their Ford products that have given Volvo the safety ratings they have earned.
Safety Cage construction – Unibody – crumple zones – stage 2 airbags – side curtain airbags – two side door safety rails – etc. They are extremely safe automobiles and have been given very high marks for their safety.
They are also very good cars, sporty looking and easy to maintain as you can go to any Ford, Lincoln, Mercury or Volvo dealership to get them worked on.
Good luck with your decision. I am a Volvo/Lincoln Mercury Consultant in Connecticut so if you’re nearby, or even if you just have a question or two, contact me at

Q: How do I unlock a locked passenger side seat belt on a 2007 Mercury Milan?
A: It’s under warranty, take it to the dealer, have them deal with it.
Q: Is a Mercury Milan realy a ford Fusion with chrome?
Milan looks better on the outside but in thinside the milans seats look uncomfortable.
A: Ford/ Lincoln/ Mercury; Chevy/ GMC; Chrysler/ Dodge/ (Jeep); Oldsmobile/ Buick; Toyota/ Lexus; Honda/ Infinity. Interchangeable parts saves money.
Q: Is this car worth purchasing Mercury Milan 2009?
Im so confused on which car to buy. I think I have test drove every new car out there. Im leaning more towards the Mazda 6 but Im still not sure. I like the way the Milan looks and drives but im just not sure about it? I know I could get more incentives and options for this car then the mazda 6 but what else is good and bad about it?
A: The Mercury Milan was actually ranked highest in initial quality by JD Power for 3 or 4 years, until last year, when it was beat by the all new Chevy Malibu, so it’s one of the best cars you can buy. The link I’ve attached shows the quality of all Mercury cars against every other maker for the first 3 years on the market (initial quality studies are only for the first 90 days). In previous years, Mercury ranked as high as number 2, so they’ve been making excellent cars for a number of years. I also happen to like the fact that it’s an American car, and is available as a hybrid (41 mpg in a midsize car!), and has the SYNC system that can make phone calls or play songs via the commands of your voice.
