Q: Toyota Yaris?
I just bought a Toyota Yaris sedan with the power package and everything. The only thing is that it didnt come with keyless entry which I got installed from a third party. Does anyone else love their Yaris as much as I do? And I love my Yaris! Has anyone had any problems with theirs?

A: I am driving a Yaris which has done 100000 kms in 9 months without any problems ( we use it on a courier run in Melbourne, Australia). The only quibble I have is that at freeway speeds (100 kph) there is not much power left for rapid acceleration.
However, I’m sure you’ll be happy with your Yaris for as long as you have it.

Q: Where could I get a lease on Toyota Yaris?
Hi,
I live in New York and interested in leasing Toyota Yaris or other similar cars.
Could someone suggest me a good dealer>
I appreciate your answer.

A: firs tof all leasing is the dumbest thing you can do to a car! ( especially a compact one!) people dont realize when you lease your paying all this money and your never gonna get that money back…like renting! do me a favor and look for a better compact or midsize and buy it!!!! no more leasing!

Q: What is the cost of installing remote keyless entry in 2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan?
My 2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan already has power locks. I was just wondering how much it would cost to have a remote keyless entry system installed.

A: You should be able to find a cheap system for under $300 installed.

Q: where can i buy a new alloy wheel for my toyota yaris?
I have damaged one of my alloy wheels on my 2004 toyota yaris and am having great difficulty finding one to match it. Are there any good places to buy these?

A: Japan

Q: Will my toyota yaris be able to start?
I need to go somewhere in about an hour and it is only going to be about 1 degree Fahrenheit outside. I have a Toyota Yaris. Will it even be able to start?
I mean Fahrenheit, right now it is -6.

A: yep…it should start…it’s -29 below here.you have a heat wave

Q: Is the Toyota Yaris just a Smart Car with a back seat?
I would like to buy a smart car but I think I might need a back seat once in a while, so would the toyota yaris be the closest car? Does the Yaris get good mileage like the smart car does?

A: The EPA estimated fuel efficiency of the Smart ForTwo is 33 miles per gallon in city and 41 mpg on highway. The EPA estimated fuel efficiency of the Toyota Yaris is 29 mpg in city and 35 mpg (36 mpg for the manual transmission version) on highway. So, by this measure the Smart ForTwo is better.

However, the Toyota Yaris and its predecessor, the Echo, have received Consumer Reports’ highest Reliability Verdicts for all of the model years for which they have existed. By contrast, if the Smart ForTwo is a typical Daimler product, it should have one of the worst reliability records as the vehicles age. See AutoOnInfo.net’s Greenest Automobiles of 2008 at http://www.AutoOnInfo.net/GreenestDozen2008.htm and its lists of the Best and Worst Automobiles of 2008 at http://www.AutoOnInfo.net/NAEd200711BestAndWorstOf2008.htm .

Although the overall reliability of the Smart ForTwo may be among the worst, it appears unlikely that its engine or transmission will be among the worst (or among the best). See AutoOnInfo.net’s Best and Worst by engine reliability at http://www.AutoOnInfo.net/NAEd200804BestAndWorstEngines.htm and its Best and Worst by transmission reliability at http://www.AutoOnInfo.net/NAEd200804BestAndWorstTransmissions.htm .

Q: What is your opinion on the Toyota Yaris S?
I am considering trading in my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and purchasing a 2007 Toyota Yaris S. We just had a baby a few weeks ago and I need something 4 door with good gas mileage that’s not too expensive. Would this be a good choice?

A: Yep.

It doesn’t have some of the features that the other Models do like the Corolla and Camry. But it’s cheap and gets great gas mileage.

You’ll be quite happy with it.

It should hold it’s value fairly well, as these things go. All cars lose value over time. But if you want to trade it in you’ll get a better price for it than any Hyundai.

Q: Do you have any problems with your Toyota Yaris clutch pedal?
Recently I got a used 2008 Toyota Yaris. It’s overall good, but I feel the clutch pedal is hard. It’s not very hard but it’s hard enough compared to a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer or even to a chinese Brilliance.
It becomes really annoying in traffic… Am I the only one having this problem and I need to fix something, or is that normal in the Yaris?

A: yes

Q: Can I disable the immobilizer system on my Toyota Yaris?
Hello, I am wondering if the immobilizer system is a necessary part of running a car. I made the mistake of getting a Toyota Yaris with the immobilizer standard/smart key, and I am wondering if the immobilizer system can be removed/deactivated, so that I can get another spare key if I am on the road and the master key isn’t directly available.

A: Two keys and your car programed for them will be cheaper then immobiliser removal.

Q: why wont my toyota yaris not start?
I have a 55 toyota yaris 1.0l petrol, it ran out of fuel or so it seemed. After putting in fuel it still wont start, it’s offering too but wont fire. Any suggestions?

A: Hi

if you’re absolutely sure that it ran out of fuel then you should have a new fuel filter fitted because there is a chance that the sedment from the bottom of the fuel tank has clogged up the fuel filter.

Geordie

Q: What is the correct tyre pressure for a 2008 Toyota Yaris SR?
I have an 08 Toyota Yaris SR. It came fitted with 16 inch low profile wheels with 195/50.16 tyres on.

My handbook and the car door say the pressure for 15 inch wheels should be 35 and 32. What PSI should I set it at for MY tyres?

I don’t want to crash and die. Please help.

A: Just fill it at about 33. Most passenger car tires are at this pressure region, regardless of size.

Q: I want to buy a Toyota Yaris, What Will the Payments Be?
I am interested in buying a Toyota Yaris for myself . I am looking at a Gorgeous red one, and its 13,999 on the Ticket. It is BRAND new at a Local Toyota Dealership. I am planning on giving down 1,500 dollars. Since I am barely starting to establish credit, my dad is going to cosign for me. he has great credit, and I was told by the dealer that they will use his credit to determine the APR. One of my friends used her mom, who had great credit and got 0 APR . They told me that the base APR for great credit is about 2.9. After estimating payments online, it says I would be looking at 238 a month-NOT INCLUDING TTL, Is this accurate or can anyone help me. If you have a Yaris, and you gave the same down, or whatever. let me know what your payments are.
Additional Details:
I am planning on giving $1500 down, and doing a 60 month.

A: 2.9% apr is a factory subvented rate. You’ll have to check with your dealer to see what the current incentives are. Some are rebates, some are low subvented apr’s in lieu of rebates, or some (very few) are rebates and low apr.

find out what the current rebat is and the non subvented rate they offer. work the payment out with those figures, and then find out what the subvented rate is without the rebate. which ever adds up to the least over your term is the one to go with.
