Q: Why does the new Toyota camry have a nose like a chipmunk or beaver?
As long as you get the Camry with the body kit and full trim it looks fine….yeah, still the same car, but i imagine the designers could have made it look more lean………todays cars are getting thicker and fatter……compare the old camry with the new camry ….i mean really, people generally havent grown so much that now the cars have to grow as well …….a thick gigantic hood, oversized everything……even the new Dodge caliber is gigantic compared to the neon it replaces.

A: I don’t know why the designers at Toyota chose that particular design, but they’re including it in all of the latest models to create brand identity.

Look at the Yaris. It has the same design in the nose. All of the new Toyotas from 2006 on will have that design. (at least in the cars)

It’s the same thing with the “L-finesse” design in Lexus. Now it’s easy to identify a car as a Lexus because there are so many styling cues that carry over from one model to the next.

Q: Why does the new Toyota camry and yaris look like a mama and baby beluga whale?
I swear you could a beluga whale next to the new camry and not be able to figure out which one to put the keys in?

A: LOL You’re so right!! Just like the Pontiac Aztec looks like a tree frog on steriods!! Or the BMW 3X SUV looks like a giant LazyBoy recliner on wheels!!

Q: Recommendations for rims for a new Toyota Camry. How much should I expect to pay?
My husband has a brand new Camry and we thought that the special rims through the dealer were outrageously expensive. He still mentions wanting new rims for his car (frequently). I would like to get some for him for his birthday. Do you think this is a good idea for a present? Any recommendations on what type or style I should look for and about how much should I expect to pay? Thanks.

A: dealer prices on dealer stuff is always $$$. Not sure why he’d want new rims.. Looks? Performance? Both? If he’s getting new wheels, do him a favor and stay away from chrome jobs in smaller factory sizes. Looks dumb, in my not-so-humbled opinion.

Remember, the bigger the wheel, the smaller the tire sidewall will be. The smaller the tire profile, the less comfortable the ride will be, so don’t go to big either.

Now, show your husband the link below and enjoy your new rims. The prices are nice, tire/wheel packages are available, and the service in my experience, is pretty good. Good luck

Q: Should i buy a New Toyota camry in Atlanta?
Im looking to buy a new car. ilive in kentucky and was thinking about going to Atlanta to buy a new 2008 Camry. i did some research and found that its about 1500$ cheaper. should i go to atlanta to buy this car? or is there any way to get the same price in Kentucky?
its for a 2008 toyota camry SE manual

thank you!

A: YOu can try to bring the price in writing to a local dealer, they may match it.
IF not and you don’t ind the drive then go.

Q: Has anyone else noticed their rear window on their new Toyota Camry in distorted and wavy?
Toyota says this is normal and refuse to fix the problem.

A: My mother just got a new Camry I’ll have to look. Ask some other Camry owners if their windows are good just crack yours if you got insurance.

Q: How much is a new 2007 toyota camry XLE? V6?
I’m looking to buy a new toyota camry.. fully loaded (no nav), with a V6. I’m trying to find the best deal so im just wondering what’s a good value and how much people paid if they have one? thanks everyone!

A: Check out carsdirect.com, they have an automated system that will quote you a true sale price (not just the sticker price) on virtually any new car. They are essentially a car broker, so any local dealership should be able to match their quote, if not beat it (since they will not have to pay any middle-man’s fees).

Q: How do you do this in the New Toyota Camry?
I am trying to change the cabin air filter as well as the engine air filter, how do i change them both?

I know Honda Accord is easy, its near the glove box, where’s the Camry’s cabin air filter?

A: The cabin air filter is behind the glove box, you need to pull the side stick that hangs out on the right hand corner and apply pressure until the whole thing eventually drops…..I have an Acura TSX as well as a Lexus IS350, the Acura is almost similar to the Lexus but the Toyota/Lexus theirs require alot of force. I’ve heard people complain about their glove box breaking easily, be careful.

Air filter is under the hood….

look at this photo, there should be a box covering the whole thing. open that and swap the filter

Q: How much a new Toyota Camry 2004 model Wheel (with Tyre) may cost?
My Toyota 2004 wheel is broken and I need replace it. What is the best place to buy one? Junk yard or Toyota show room?

A: Search eBay and/or craigslist. Get the information from the tire on what size you will need.

If you want a brand new one then go to a Toyota Dealer, then go to the parts department. Plan on spending about $100 at the dealer.

Q: Can I buy a new Toyota Camry but not from dealer?
I mean is it possible to buy directly from Toyote factory?

A: Sure can, Craigslist. But Be Careful.

Q: what is the cheapest i can get a new toyota camry?
when I’m at the dealership what is the best price i can get for a LE Camry. what i mean is what price should i offer them so that i make a good deal not them.

A: Here:

Q: How much should I pay for a brand new toyota camry?
what is the difference between MSRP and Retail Price? Can a dealer offer less than the quoted retail price?

A: MSRP is what the manufacture thinks is a good price, retail price is what the Dealer charges. A dealer can sell the car for any price they choose. They won’t sell below MSRP unless it is a sale. Always try to stay as close to the MSRP as possible. If you go in with confidence then you will not get ripped off. If you have a trade-in, let them know after you get the price for the car. They will up the price to make up for a trade. So tell them about a trade in after you have set up for a down payment and credit check.

Q: Why are so many people hating on the new Toyota Camry?
I hear pros and cons on this car, why do people some people like it while others say it’s a bad model this year? The V6 SE model is pretty sick in my opinion, but still there are many haters and prefer american cars, but american cars have been known to be lemons, so what’s better, a japenese car or an american brand?

A: Japanese cars are still better by a decent margin but it has been closing over the last 5-6 years. It used to be wide enough to swim in so domestic cars have improved. The haters that prefer American are usually people with their heads stuck in the 50s and 60s. Those are people that know that there is better out there or are to proud to admit it. I agree with the American cars being lemons, but the new V6 Camry is having some tranny issues from what I’ve been told. Still it is a solid, well made car being introduced with a new design. First year cars are always a risk. However the haters hate them because no car has been able to penetrate Camry sales since 1997. That ticks off poor sport Americans. Yeah, I’m guilty of it at times also, but the truth still remains that the Camry has been #1 for a reason. It’s not the bland styling or boring driving experience. It’s the reliability/ practicality factor. How many cars can go past 300K miles relatively trouble-free? Very few, but this isn’t uncommon for Camrys. You can abuse it and neglect some maintenance and still get 200K miles. Oh and to the haters, Camrys are all-Amercan except for the name. Everything on it is made in America. Seats, door panels, engines, dashboards etc. are all made by us and assembled by us. The difference is the higher level of quality control Japanese brand cars are required to go through in comparison to American brands. Even Japan imports the Camry from the U.S.

Q: How much did a brand new toyota camry sell for in 1994?
there is a ad in the paper claiming they are selling the 2007 camry at the 1994 price. I called and they said the price is $19,900.

A: The price they are quoting must be awful close.
They might be adjusting for inflation, different options can also make adjustments difficult. I mean they didn’t give you a CD player in the car back then.

My parents paid around $16,000 for a low end Camry in 1991. I bought my Camry in 2003 and paid $19,000. So a 2007 at $19,900 is not a bad price.

Q: Where is the ejection seat control on my new Toyota Camry and is there one on each seat for my family members?
pbleek yes but the brakes are computer controlled and we now know the computer also fails OFTEN….

A: It’s to the left of the steering wheel. Just let your eyes flow along the cheap scratchy plastic that’s all over the dash and you’ll find it, and then look for the cheesy plastic eject button. But don’t push on the plastic too hard while your doing it or your arm will end up in the engine compartment.

Q: Where do I go to get Toyota to make me a brand new 2004 Toyota Camry?
I like the 2004 Toyota Camry’s, so where do I go to get one? If I have to, I will ask Toyota to just custom make one for me. But is that possible? And if it is, then how much will it cost? And where would I have to go to get it done for me? Can you please answer ALL of those questions for me please? Whoever gives me the best answer will be rewarded TWELVE POINTS!

A: No, car manufacturers do not make old models. Once their gone, they are gone. Find a 2004 in very good shape and buy it. If you really like to spend money you can take this car to a restorer and put another $5K to $10K into it to make it “like new”. The bad news of course is that now you’ve got about $20K invested in a crappy Toyota that is only worth about 1/2 of your investment.
