Q: when MERCEDES-BENZ going to change its E class shap?
A: 2007
Q: Which is better a Mercedes Benz C class or E class?
A: Okay the guy above me is a idiot. Nazis are gone and Mercedes-Benz is a great car. Something Americans couldn’t come up with. American luxury cars suck compared to Mercedes-Benz. Anyways E-Class is better because well it’s ranked #! on us news for full size luxury sedans and you can buy features like addaptive cruise control(the car basicly drives itself with this feature), night view camera, lane changing assit, blind spot assit etc. but E class cost about $10,000 more than C class so if you can’t afford a E-Class, C-Class still is a very nice car.
Q: what do u think of the brand new s-class of mercedes-benz cars?and e-class cars’quality is going down?
A: I don’t beleive that the quality of any Mercedes is going down hill. They still make one of the best cars on the road these days.
Q: What does C class, E class, S class and M class indicate in Mercedes Benz?
A: these are really old names that Mercedes made YEARS ago, but bear with me here: C stands for Compact or Kompact in German. E is Einspritzung in german or fuel injected. and S is SonderKlasse which means Special Class. Sorry, I do not know what M is. Hope this helps.
Q: Mercedes-Benz has C class for Cheap, E class for Economy, what is S class?
A: For Stupid (just for you.)
Q: how are mercedes benz classified into different classes.eg. E Class,M class…?
A: C = COMFORT
E = EXECUTIVE
S = SUPERLATIVE
M = MULTIUTILITY

im not buying… im jus tryin to gather votes as to witch is better
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net
Q: How do you stop the engine oil going to the engine computer from the cam position sensor on a merc 210 E Class
How do you stop the engine oil going to the engine computer from the cam position sensor on a merc 210 E Class?
Mercedes Benz say that its a common problem and you need to change the engine wire harness and the computer. Is there any way with cleaning or modifying the wire harness and the cam position sensor to cut costs rather than replacing the entire wire harness?
A: the harness can be untapped and wires cleaned with brake-clean spray and re taped leaving open sections sections at low points in the harness for drains. the cam sensor connector boot can be modified with a drain tube [straw from a can of carb cleaner] the computer disconnect and computer terminals can be cleaned with “lectrosolve” of course the sensor will have to be replaced.
you know this is the sort of crap that you expect from british cars [they stay dry now] mercedes has really slipped they need to stand down and take a good look at themselves and where they are “headead” as a manufacturer
Q: Do mercedes benz give new cars to old ones?
Hi. I have a mercedes benz E class. One of my neighbours has an old Volkswagen. It is more than 10 years old and the company got it off of her and said that they can swap it for a brand new car, or a refund. No problems. She has also told me that mercedes benz swaps your old car for a brand new car. Is this true or not.
Thanks for your help
A: IT’S CALLED A TRADE IN!?
Q: Mercedes-Bens E Class??! Question..please read and answer to the best of your knowledge!?
http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars_for_sale/2002_Mercedes-Benz_E+Class_112788655_54
Its a 2002. It has 137000 miles on it. But alot of ppl have been saying that 137000 miles for a benz is not alot. Sounds like a very high # to me but I dont know much about cars, etc.
I do know I have a 7 month old child..so with the high mileage..I dont want it to go bad on me in the near future!
going to take a look at it next week…is it worth it..is that mileage to high or not?
A: 137K is a high amount of miles on any gasoline engine. If this was a diesel Mercedes, I would agree with everyone else’s assessment. Any car can last hundreds of thousands of miles with proper maintenance.
That being said, if you are serious about this car you need to spend $75 or so and have a licensed mechanic check it over thoroughly. This car will be out of the original manufacturer’s warranty, and parts/service on a used Benz isn’t cheap. Keep that in mind.
If you’re simply looking for a luxury car in that price range, there are many other better choices.
“I don’t want it to go bad in the near future” — older Mercedes aren’t known for reliability, so you’re rolling the dice just getting it. Keep in mind it’s already an 8-year old car. If you need a good idea, call the nearest Benz dealer and ask them how much an engine overhaul is for that year/make/model. You’ll change your mind about it very quickly.
Q: Need help knowing what a good price would be to get a new 2009 Mercedes E-class 4 matic from the dealer?
Can someone help me with a true “Good” price on a 2009 Mercedes Benz E class?
I’m looking for an new 2009 E 350 4-matic sedan with Package 2. What would be the best price I could get off the dealer for this car?
I know I could just go to Edmund’s but I’m looking for a price from someone who possibly knows how the pricing works inside a Mercedes dealership. I’m doing this to avoid the constant haggling that usually goes along buying a new car. I figured if I have the price ahead of time, then I can make my deal. Thanks.
A: Consider a Lincoln MKS-you will be pleasantly surprised. For under 48K you get AWD and all the features of an E class and more.
Q: How to add 20 – 30 hp on a mercedes-benz w124 200d?
I have an ‘87 european model Mercedes-Benz 200d E class without a turbo. It’s a very lazy car and I have great problems going out of town with it. Can anyone advise me how to improve its power, how costly and what could i do to its engine? Please help
A: Add a turbocharger. That shouldn’t be more than $2,000 or so. Have you considered an engine swap? The 3 liter 603 in a 300SD or SDL is a lot more powerful. (Avoid the 3.5 liter version though – 50% or more of them have bad rod problems.) Or go crazy and drop in a gasoline engine – I saw a great-running 420SEL for $1,100 locally. That’ll give you more pep.
Q: Interior size of an old Mercedes Benz estate?
Can anyone tell me how long is the load space of a 1978-86 (the 123 shape) Mercedes-Benz E-class estate/T-modell?
I’m basically interested in knowing what is the longest object you can fit in and still close the boot, assuming you put the rear seats down and maybe even remove the seat cushions if this helps.
I’d also be interested in knowing whether the rear seat backrest folds down in one piece only, or in two halves.
Thanks!!
A: Hmmm, I do know that in the W124 (which replaced the W123), an object 9 feet long could be accommodated if the rear, center and front passenger seats are folded down. Lengthwise I’m kind of confident that the W123 and W124 aren’t too different, while overall, the W124 ought to have more carrying capacity.
Q: What size range is the mercedes-benz c-class considered?
Hello again,
I’m thinking about trading my AWFUL Saab 9-7x in for a Mercedes-Benz c or e-class car. Is the c-class in size comparable to say like a Honda Accord or Nissan Altima, or is it smaller? I like the e-class a lot but if the c-class is generous in size I might just go with that to save money.
Thanks!
Also, what are worthy options to look for? I would like sat nav but I dont need it, especially after the stories I’ve read about how awful the sat nav in Merc’s are. This is slightly important to me and hopefully if you own one you can answer this: When the heat is on, can you set the climate control so that on the upper vents cool air will come out simultaneously with the heat from the floor? How about sirius/xm? Is their a GOOD aftermarket unit I can use, and possibly hard wire it into the car so wires are not everywhere?
P.s. I would just call a dealer and ask them all of these questions but I’m not in the position to buy right at this time so I dont want to get involved with them yet.
A: yeah, I agree with you regarding the awful 9-7x (my friend bought one and promptly dumped it), but it was just a rebadged trailblazer, which would have been fine if the trailblazer in and of itself was a good suv… In my recent car buying experience, I checked out and testdrove the exact models you are talking about- the Merc c-class and e-class, along with the infiniti g35, caddy cts, and 2009 saab 9-5. The c-class was considerably smaller than what I expected it to be (back seat wasn’t comfortable for me and I am only 5′11”), but for $35,000, it was pretty accurately priced for a Mercedes of its size. On the other hand, I absolutely loved the E-class- styling, power, handling, even the oft-maligned merc satnav you spoke of was pretty impressive. However, the price was a little out of my league- $49,000-. So I moved on, albeit keeping the latter merc high in my consideration. The infiniti, which is very highly rated by most car magazines- fell far below my expectations- it felt heavy and unwieldy, and that for me is inexcusable (although the interior was nice and the price was decent- $39,000). The next car- the cts- was a good contender, although too small for my tastes, and a bit geriatric, not to mention that the price was a bit high- $42,000 for the 304 hp version. And last came the car which I ultimately bought (even though I was torn between it and the e-class)- the 09 Saab 9-5. Everyone calls it outdated, but when I testdrove it it felt newer than the caddy and even the infiniti. It had more interior space than the c-class, almost as much as the e-class, ventilated seats, standard satellite radio, and a driving experience that was even better than that of the athletic c-class (plus the stellar 28 highway mpg with the 260hp turbo 4). What’s more, I bought one in top spec aero trim for $33,000 new! I have owned it for 8 months and out of all the cars that I’ve had it is my favorite. So check it out, and don’t be fazed by your bad experience with the 9-7x, as it was just a Trailblazer. Just for your example, here’s a fully loaded (everything but nav) 09 9-5 Griffin with less than 8,000 miles for less than 32 grand (really can’t get more for your money than this)! Here’s the link

Q: Which Mercedes-Benz is the best on snow?
My dad was thinking of getting the S400 Hybrid sedan, until we realized it’s 2 wheel drive. Isn’t that bad on snow? We live in Michigan, the weather can get pretty bad here. What do you guys think? We liked that it’s hybrid, but yeah..Should we get a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive? My friend drives a 2002 Mercedes-Benz E class 4Matic year round, and he hasn’t had any troubles.Which Mercedes-Benz would you all recommend for year round?
p.s. we only want mercedes-benz.
A: We have had several high performance luxury sedans that are rear drive only, living in the snow belt (near Buffalo NY). Here is my advice:
1. If you really like the hybrid, get it. BUT – get a good set of snow tires. It makes all the difference in the world. Our MB dealer holds the tires for us and switches them out every winter (and holds the summer tires until the spring when they switch them back for us).
2. If you’re neutral on the hybrid, I would step up to the S550 with the 4MATIC option. I would still get snow tires. The S550 with 4MATIC and Snow tires will be more sure footed than a polar bear.
I’ve had both RWD and 4MATIC in some deep snow. With snow tires, either one is good. The only thing the all wheel drive system offers is a little more acceleration and control when turning. All wheel drive only helps you go. It doesn’t help you stop and only helps you turn a little. Snow tires make all the difference and really help you stop. I buy a new set every winter so they are fresh.
If you’re going to feel better saving the planet – get the hybrid. If you realize the difference between the S400 and S550 carbon foot print is probably too small to matter – get the S550 with the all wheel drive option.
