It’s a very simple song. The only part you can hear on the commercial is someone plucking a guitar, and then more towards the end you can hear some other instrument that I can’t quite figure out. What’s the name of tge song and who’s the artist?

A: According to Lexus, the music for the ad “City” Lexus RX 2010 was created/produced at HUM Music specifically for these commercials. Studio/session musicians were utilized. Each music track has different composers. The music is not commercially available.

Q: Why would a Lexus Dealership not Certify a 07′ RX w/ 24,000 miles? Does it mean that something may be wrong?
I’m in the market for a 07 Lexus Rx and I found one that is decently priced…only problem is that it is not CPO….because a car is not CPO does this mean that the dealership has found a major problem w/ the vehicle and does not want to put a warranty behind it?

A: is there a factory warranty left on it? just had the same problem with Nissan Murano 2007 the Nissan dealer does not do CPO however the suv still had a year to go on bumper to bumper and three years left on engine drive train

A: They will change more than the outer body….sure, it will look a lot sleeker, but, it will also be longer and have optional seating for 7. This is an important feature that the current body type doesn’t have. As an owner of a 2007 RX 350, I can tell you it would be nice to have.

They also may offer a larger, more powerful engine which is always good news. I you can wait, I would hold off and buy the 2009.

Q: Lexus RX 350 *without* tire pressure sensor installed?
I am planning to buy a set of snow tires for my Lexus RX 350. The dealer suggest that I should install a new set of tire pressure sensor on the new tires. But the sensors cost $95.00 CAD each. Do you know if I can install new tires WITHOUT installing the tire pressure sensor?

A: Depends, if you are using the same wheels as your summer tires you will be fine because the sensors are already programmed and mounted on those wheels. If you plan on putting your snow tires on a different set of wheels and don’t install the sensors you will have to live with a tire light being on. There is no way to turn it off with out having programmed sensors in your wheels that are on the car.

Q: Any idea of how much a hatchback gate replacement would cost for a 2010 Lexus RX 350?
My mother slammed the open hatchback of her brand new RX350 into our garage this weekend. It appears that the actual body is bent and will therefore have to be replaced. As she doesn’t have full-coverage auto insurance, any in the know have an idea or estimate of how much it will cost to replace?

I think the 2004-2009 models are the best design of the RX. Is it just me or do the 2010 RX’s just seem odd looking. They are not very appealing! What is your opinion?

A: If you ask me, Toyota’s influence on the 2010 RX and HS is too dominant. If you look at either of them head on, they’re horrible. An example of both:

Q: Why wont my 2008 Lexus RX 350 not start?
When I try to start the car there is a buzzing sound, not a single click. The sound is like you hear when shuffling a deck of cards.

A: Starter or Flywheel is shot.

If the starter is working but the Flywheel teeth are ground off, it will pop out and spin causing that noise. Because it’s not engaging anything.

But if the Starter is shot, sometimes the mechanism that pushes the Gear out dies and it just spins inside the housing without ever being able to engage the flywheel.

That will also cause that buzzing noise.

Your two options are to take it to a Mechanic and have them look at it, or take the starter out and have it tested on a Bench. They’ll be able to tell you if the Starter works or not.

The steering wheel will not allow me to turn the key. My sister was messing with the back window buttons and the key control buttons. Now it has locked up! It is a 2000 model, if that matters.
